I have an extensive history on the Internet.
On Geeks in Space the short run internet talk program by the editors of Slashdot (Mainly Cmdr Taco and Hemos) there were two supplement eppesodes called "Ground control".
I make no less than three apperences in ground control. In ground control 1 I'm the doom ship alien who surrenders near the end.
In ground control 2 I am the "Thought police" at the front and the rant guy at the end.
To explain that rant. The Slashdot team did a lot of ripping of Slackware and way to much prasing of Debian.
Also people often left Linux complaining of issues unqiue to a single Linux distro. Today people leave Linux complaing of issues not found in ANY Linux destro. Somethings not right here.
Back on Slashdot I'm Felinoid. On FurryMuck I was... Felinoid... Not exactly imaginitive. On EffNet IRC I was Felinoid.
Online comic After Y2K I entered the "AY2K Lookalike contest" as The "head" of the Transmeta Council. I lost of course.
Nitrozac who did the "After Y2K" online comic did a spin off interactive event called "Abacus World Expo" here she organised live chats with Internet personalitys.
I dropped in on her chat with Roblimo then in charg of Andover the company that owns Slashdot.

I spent a short time with the UFIE croud over at the online comic User Friendly by Illiad.
